World Cup Day!!

Football Match report
Thanks to Callum who has written this fantastic report on Wednesday's game.

Wednesday 15th March:
Walsall Wood vs. Holy Trinity.

Players
Goal Keeper: Owen
Left Back: Calvin
Right Back: Aaron
Centre Back: James
Left Mid: Ryan
Right Mid: Andre
Striker: Bullet    (Captain)
Sub: Mathew

Walsall Wood 2  Holy Trinity 2
Bullet 2

We started this game once again very good with a high tempo and having most of the possession, this forced Holy Trinity to make a mistake and make a pass back which we gained a free kick from. The free kick was in-direct so we needed to pass before we could shoot, so Ryan and Bullet thought of a set piece that could give them the lead in this game. So Ryan passed it to Bullet who hit a firing shot from outside the box which flew straight into the net and made it 1-0 to give us the lead.

We started the second half the same as the first with a high tempo and most of the possession. Also in the second half Mr Drew decided to bring on a pair of fresh legs, so he put Mathew on for Andre. After this James collected the ball for a goal kick which he fired over the top to bullet, he then controlled the ball turned and attacked on his own. He ended up taking on all three of Holy Trinity’s defence this was because they set all three defenders to single him out but that never worked. He then went passed all three and headed towards goal, and then hit another firing shot towards goal which hit the inside of the left post and then hit the inside of the right post before entering the goal to make Walsall Wood lead by two clear goals.

But we couldn’t rule Holy Trinity out because they ended hitting us back with 2 good goals of there own basically because the team’s defence fell to sleep, but never mind this happens in football. In the end we drew 2-2 with Holy Trinity who are not a bad team but we should of collected a win.

Through the game all the team which included Owen, James, Aaron, Calvin, Andre, Ryan, Mathew and the captain Bullet all had a magnificent game, which was said by Mr Drew who also said that the team was unlucky.

Football Match report

Football V Holy Trinity
Our school football teams played against Holy Trinity School earlier today. The 'A' Team were leading 2-0 through 2 excellent goals from 'Bullet' but conceded 2 late goals to draw 2-2.  The 'B' team played really well (Cameron and Alex in particular worked extremely hard) but slipped to a 2-0 defeat. Match reports will follow very soon, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of the action.  Well done to all those who played today.
